"The Newsroom wants to do a lot of things, it seems. It wants to make a unique drama set in a fairly unexplored area of our media. It also wants to prove a point about our current socio-political conflicts, remarking on how divided we are as a nation and how the news we see on T.V. affects that. I’m not sure it will have the capacity to succeed at all of those things, but I’m willing to see how it goes."
